Installing on Windows

Download and double-click the installer. Cocoon will appear in the Start menu. To uninstall, go to Settings → Apps.

If you see “Windows protected your PC”

On first launch, Windows SmartScreen may show “Windows protected your PC” and hide the Run button. Cocoon currently does not have a code-signing certificate; new unsigned programs with a limited download history can trigger this warning.

In the dialog, click “More info” to reveal the “Run anyway” button, then click it to continue installing.

If Edge or Chrome blocks the download as uncommon or potentially dangerous, select “Keep” for that item in your downloads. Code signing is planned to address this warning.

Installing on macOS

Open the downloaded DMG and drag Cocoon into Applications. The package is signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it should not trigger an unidentified-developer warning. To uninstall, drag Cocoon from Applications to the Trash.

First launch

The macOS version is distributed outside the Mac App Store using Apple's Developer ID signing and notarization. Gatekeeper should allow it. If you still see “is damaged and can't be opened,” the download may be incomplete. Download it again, or use shasum -a 256 in Terminal to compare it with the checksum file obtained by adding .sha256 to the download URL.

Cocoon can run locally installed command-line tools for delegated tasks (such as claude, codex), so it is not a sandboxed app. It accesses files involved in the tasks you assign.

Installing on Android

Download the APK in your phone's browser, then tap it to install.

If installation from unknown sources is blocked

On first installation, Android may ask you to allow unknown apps. Enable installation for your browser in the settings shown. This is a standard step for APKs distributed outside an app store.
